From Belinda Pretyman
Practice Manager

“I have been lucky enough to be employed by Drs Ulhas and Geeta Lad for the past 19 years. I started working for them as a junior receptionist in 1987.  From the time I started working with them they have treated me as part of their family. This inclusion into their family also extended to my immediate family.

As I lived in the country and had sporting commitments in town, the doctors would often invite me into their home after work for meals treating me like part of their family.

I have watched their practice grow immensley over the past 19 years and I am proud to say that I work for Drs Lad. The community support shown to the Doctors is evidence of the respect they have earned . Everyone in the community knows the doctors are available anytime, day or night, always there to help and reassure.

I have continued working for them after the births of my children working part times hours negotiated to suit both the doctors and my family commitments.

I will continue working for them and support them 100%. I have the utmost respect for both Drs Lad.  I have never felt intimidated or uncomfortable while in Dr Ulhas Lad’s company. I have never witnessed any unethical behaviour in all the time I have worked for them.

It saddens me that I have to witness this family going through such a traumatic time when they have done so much for myself, my family and the community as a whole”.

From Rebecca Kline
Senior Medical Receptionist

“I have been an employee of both Dr Geeta and Ulhas Lad for the last 8 years. Dr Lad had also remained our family doctor for 19 years. During the time I have worked with Dr Ulhas Lad I have never felt uncomfortable by anything he has said or by any way in which he has acted towards myself or his patients. On many occasions, Dr Ulhas and I have closed the surgery together and left at the same time, I have even given him a lift to his house in the evenings, and again at no time have I ever felt uncomfortable or threatened by his behaviour.

I am very lucky in that I love my job and thoroughly enjoy the company of my fellow employees and the doctors, both at work and at social gatherings.

I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Dr Ulhas Lad and his wife, Dr Geeta Lad. They both work tirelessly for their patients and provide an excellent service to our community. You could say that I am on the front line of the recent allegations of misconduct towards Dr Ulhas and it saddens me to see two such dedicated and genuine people go through what is an extremely trying time in their lives. I have absolute confidence and belief in Dr Ulhas Lad and only hope a justified outcome will be reached”.

From Dianne Williams, Linda Newnham & Margaret Hulton
Medical Receptionists

"We, Dianne, Linda and Margaret, are staff employed by Drs U & G Lad, working different days and varied hours in job sharing.  We all have the utmost respect for both doctors.

Over the years we have got to know both Dr Ulhas and Dr Geeta Lad as employers and hosts/come friends.  We have been invited to their home and included in their family gatherings.  They are also our family doctors.

Over all the years in the company of Dr Ulhas Lad we all have found him to be polite, respectful and caring of all men, women and children.

Dr Ulhas and Geeta Lad are dedicated, caring and extremely community minded doctors.  They are on call 24 hours per day and either see patients at odd hours or calm and reassure these patients over the phone.

It is sad and disheartening to think that Dr Ulhas Lad has been, as we believe, falsely accused of these allegations and we can only hope that the truth will prevail."
