In response to the recent happenings I wish to add a few general comments. We moved to Hobart and have been living here since February 2003. I am employed in the Department of Pathology at the Royal Hobart Hospital as a Staff Specialist. Dr Ulhas Lad and Dr Geeta Lad have been our GP’s since settling in this city. We have consulted them many times for my daughter, my wife and me. Our family have found Drs Ulhas and Geeta Lad to be helpful, very professional, kind, caring and with a pleasant disposition. In view of this, we are shocked to learn of all the allegations raised against Dr Ulhas Lad and his professional conduct. At no stage have we found Dr U. Lad in breach of his professional ethics and morality. Dr Ulhas Lad is well known within the medical fraternity and is held in high regard by his peers. I sincerely trust that Dr Ulhas Lad will be cleared of all the complaints that have been mounted against him and will return to serve the community as before with his ever smiling spirit and helpful demeanour.
