Hi there, I am just writing to express my thanks to both Mr. and Mrs. Ladd and for all the care they have given to our family over the past 10 years. I have attached [see below] a letter that I am sending to the editor of the Mercury. Thinking of you at this difficult time, Denise (Surname Removed) and family Dear Editor, I am writing to you to express my concern and disgust over the recent coverage on Dr. Lad. Whatever happened to “Innocent before proven guilty?” Both Mr. and Mrs. Lad have been committed professionals who have dedicated their lives to the well being of the Blackman’s Bay and Kingston community. They have made themselves available seven days a week and have often gone above and beyond the call of duty. I personally have had Dr. Lad visit my home during the middle of the night. At no time did I feel worried or concerned for my safety. Furthermore, the Lads are responsible for quickly diagnosing (again, in the middle of the night) my neighbour’s young child with Meningococcal, thereby saving her life. In one fell swoop, all the wonderful and positive attributes of Dr. Lad are corrupted. The “victims” identities are protected – what about Dr. Lad’s? Even if Dr. Lad is innocent, a man’s reputation and soul have been destroyed. Is this just? There are two sides to every story and there are a lot of people who are behind the Lads. If you are interested in reading the other side – visit www.drladsupport.com.au Sincerely, Denise (Surname Removed) Blackmans Bay |
